Outdoor Application Recommendations

MULSH pigments work best with masonry paint for outdoor applications. When mixed with masonry paint and properly applied, our pigments provide excellent colour retention. For extra protection, you can apply a clear coat on top.

Please note: Performance ratings are based on laboratory testing under controlled conditions. Actual results will vary depending on the base paint or render used, mixing ratios, application method, and environmental exposure. Like all exterior coatings, some colour changes may occur over time. We cannot accept responsibility for colour variations in real-world applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

MULSH pigments are highly concentrated colour concentrates designed for mixing into exterior render, masonry paint, lime wash, and other paint bases. Simply add the pigment to your chosen base material and mix thoroughly to achieve vibrant colour.

Coverage depends on the desired colour intensity and the base material being tinted. As a general guide, one 100g bottle can tint 1-10 litres of paint or render. For lighter shades, you'll get more coverage; for deeper, more saturated colours, you'll use more pigment per litre.

MULSH pigments work best with water-based systems including acrylic, emulsion, masonry paint, render, lime wash, and resin. They are specifically formulated for exterior applications. Always test a small amount first to ensure compatibility with your chosen base material.

Yes! While our pigments are formulated for demanding exterior applications, they work equally well for interior projects. The professional-grade properties that make them perfect for outdoor use also ensure excellent colour quality indoors.

Add the desired amount of pigment to your base material and mix thoroughly until fully dispersed and no streaks remain. For best results, mix in small batches first to test the colour, then scale up. Always mix enough for your entire project to ensure colour consistency.

Absolutely! Our pigments can be blended together to create custom colours. Start with small test batches to achieve your desired shade, keeping notes of the ratios used so you can replicate the colour for larger quantities.

Light fastness (rated 1-8 on the Blue Wool Scale) measures resistance to UV fading - higher numbers mean better resistance. Weather fastness (rated 1-5) measures resistance to outdoor weathering including rain and temperature changes. Our pigments are rated for professional exterior use.

MULSH pigments work best with masonry paint for outdoor applications. When mixed with masonry paint and properly applied, our pigments provide excellent colour retention. For extra protection, you can apply a clear coat on top. Like all exterior coatings, some colour changes may occur over time depending on exposure and climate, but our high fastness ratings ensure professional results.
